Deerghayu Foundation is a non profit organization registered both in the USA and India.
The organization is co-founded by Dr. Garima Chaturvedi who was born in India and received her medical education, MBBS, from RNT medical college, Udaipur.
She then left for USA to pursue her MD with specialization in diabetes care. She is a certified internist from American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
She has received US president award for exemplary volunteer work.
She is also involved in volunteer work for diabetes awareness in India where she manages Deerghayu Advanced Diabetes Clinic. Dr Garima also utilizes internationally acclaimed awareness methods for diabetes prevention designed by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov).
Our vision is to work for improving lives of people made vulnerable by non-communicable diseases.
Our mission is to provide awareness and individual empowerment through health education. We work collaboratively with local, national and global partners and stakeholders in the area of diabetes and hypertension management.
