Direct outreach bringing early diagnosis and prevention to underserved communities. Project SHADOW alone conducted 15,000 assessments across 36 villages in just 18 days. Our research revealed that 4 out of 5 diabetics in these communities didn’t know about complications—knowledge that now shapes our education programs.

School-based program educating children on cardio-metabolic disease prevention. Presented at the United Nations as a model for health education in developing nations. By educating children, we influence entire families.
In 2010, when we opened our clinic in Udaipur, only 14% of people in the region saw a doctor at least every six months. Diabetes had reached epidemic proportions, yet awareness remained dangerously low.
Dr. Garima’s family roots in the region gave us both access and trust. Today, our programs span multiple districts, but our commitment remains the same: evidence-based care, delivered with cultural sensitivity, reaching those who need it most.
Dr. Garima Chaturvedi’s hands-on leadership drives Deerghayu Foundation’s India programs—from pioneering the Udaipur clinic to leading Project SHADOW’s 15,000-woman screening across 36 villages.
